Agile methods for software development have been growing in use over the last ten years. This one day course provides an overview of the principles of an Agile approach in IT, compares Agile with other approaches and explores the implications of using Agile from the different related perspectives of governance, project management, business case, user engagement, configuration management, testing and support. The course introduces the Agile manifesto, and provides an overview of the popular Agile methodologies including Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM), Extreme Programming (XP), Feature Driven Development (FDD), Open Unified Process (OpenUP) and Scrum. What will I learn?At the end of this one day overview of Agile in IT, you will have an understanding of the key features of Agile methods for software development. You will appreciate the pro’s and con’s of using an Agile approach and the main differences between Agile and other conventional approaches for developing software.
